School of sports and combat sambo

Sambo (“Self-Defense without Protection”), like some other types of wrestling, was developed in the USSR. November 16, 1938 is the official birthday of this sport. It all started with the release of the Order of the All-Union Committee on Physical Culture and Sports “On the development of the fight of the free style.” But much earlier, Spiridonov (specialization — methods of self-defense from boxing and national types of wrestling) and Oshchepkov (specialization — judo) developed independently from each other combat systems, which were combined into a single system, on the basis of which training in schools of the NKVD was built. And only in 1949 Kharlampiev was able to transform Sambo in such a way that many could learn his techniques. But from these changes, this type of struggle has not lost its effectiveness — indeed, even today, sambo is being trained by employees of various power structures of Russia.

But Sambo is not just a system of exercises, this system is filled with meaning, it teaches self-discipline, endurance, stamina and the desire to achieve goals. Sambo also teaches patriotism, because its roots go far back into the history of Russia, the history of martial arts (here you can find elements of fighting and fighting, Russian, Georgian, Tatar, Armenian, Kazakh, Uzbek wrestling and many others).

There is a division of sambo into combat (combat sambo) and sport (sport sambo) systems.

The sambo sports system includes a variety of grabs, throws and chokes.

Sambo combat school covers not only the techniques of sports equipment, but also work with armed opponents, percussion equipment, binding and convoy.

Sambo Sambo competitions provide for the division of participants into age groups, gender and weight categories. You also need a special suit — this is a special jacket (red and blue colors are allowed), a belt, cropped shorts and a scooter, and also protective elements: for male fighters — a sink for the groin area (non-metallic) or melting, for female wrestlers — wide bra or indoor swimsuit.

The fight lasts 4-5 minutes for the older, 4 for the younger and 3-4 for the performances of veterans. And ends with a gong. The result of the fight, which is determined by technical points and qualification points, enters the defeat of one wrestler (while the second is counted the winner) or the defeat of both participants.

The history of sambo schools in Russia is rich and rich. Sambo schools study self-defense techniques, attacks, and special techniques. The schools of combat sambo are also studying the principles of real combat.

A lot of competitions are held for those who want to demonstrate the level of their development in this sport — world championships, European and Asian championships, a series of Cup events, etc. Our athletes always show a high level of training, thanks to which they take top places. Among them, Murat Khasanov and Irina Rodina (eleven-time world champions), Rais Rakhmatullin (seven-time world champion), Sergey Lopovok and Svetlana Galyant (six-time world champions), Fedor Emelyanenko (four-time world champion in combat sambo).
